Diary:

Were going to dive in the morning with Dive Mike, but their boat had broken down and they wasted our morning keeping us on standby.

We found out about noon that Dive Mike was not going to work for us, then we arranged the dive with an alternate dive shop Tank Ha. Did a 2 tank afternoon dive at 2pm to Tortugas Reef & Barracuda Reef. We saw: sea turtles, huge tarpin, beautiful coloured coral, a nurse shark, lobsters, crabs, moray eels, rock fish, angel fish, barracuda. It was the best dive I've ever done. We were totally thrilled.

Tomorrow we plan to leave Playa del Carmen after a very enjoyable 10 nights. Including the hurricane. Our plan is to complete the driving trip by going to Chetumal (visit the ruins at Tulum), then Palenque, San Cristóbal de la Casas and drop the car off at Tuxtla Gutiérrez. From there we'll travel to Antigua de Guatemala.
